Necropolitans, episode 34: Did we spend all of last session literally trying to cross this room?

We unexpectedly introduce Nathan to the Paddington universe, and interrogate very sleepy statues in Did we spend all of last session literally trying to cross this room? "Your accent wanders further than any accent has wandered before". We discover some spiders are also witches (bad).

Since Iris' whole shtick is fighting witches, I try to throw in hex-wielding adversaries at regular intervals. There was no real explanation for having your typical witch or shaman in the ancient, undisturbed catacombs of the Nameless City, which I've otherwise populated with magic, traps, immortal elementals and so on. This led to the creation of the Witchmite, a spider with innate hexing abilities. As the episode shows, they weren't a particularly effective threat, but they livened up the session a bit.
