The job of the GM is to cunningly predict the players' every move, weaving a seamless web of continuity that will accommodate their whims. This is, of course, impossible, but sometimes more impossible than others. In Episode 038: Well, that was unexpected, Ollie managed to do something I absolutely had not even remotely anticipated.
Listeners will fairly soon be able to find out what happened to Makoa. For the other players, it was several months before they knew anything, since Ollie was keeping mum. Keeping secrets in games can work well or badly, but luckily this group handle it well.
I'm sure I did make up some of this in advance, but I feel like a lot of it was winged heavily on the fly - mostly because, again, players are always unexpected. Those poor GMs. Wait, that's me.
