We flash back in time to a teenaged Iris undertaking her first real mission, in Episode 088: I don’t want to try and explain why I’m covered in grease.
Iris is sent on a solo infiltration mission for which she is the ideal agent: disguising herself as a maid to infiltrate a noble witch's household and assassinate her familiar to weaken her for a forthcoming ambush.
This section of the backstories is designed to be a mission a 1st-level character might plausibly undertake on her own. It requires only simple skill checks and there is minimal risk, unless she attracts a lot of suspicion. While technically some combat will be involved, killing a familiar should be within her capabilities.
